Mark Eberhard: The Real Founder of Tesla

Mark Eberhard -Today we will talk about a disputed story behind the success story of Tsla cars. Let’s begin without wasting any time.

Tesla (TSLA stock) is one of the leading car manufacturing companies, not just in America but in the whole world. Earlier the name of Tesla was Tesla motors inc, which was reduced to just Tesla, Inc. in 2017.

This company is known for manufacturing and selling some of the most amazing Electric vehicles and especially electric cars. Other than these it is also active in the field of providing Solar panels and batteries.

Most of the people who know this company, also know very well about Elon Musk. Musk is known as the CEO of Tesla, Inc. Many people even think that the Tesla company was founded by Elon Musk, which is not true.

This Tsla car making company was founded in the year 2003 by Martin Eberhard and his companion Marc Tarpenning.  Later on, Elon Musk too joined this company and finally abducted Martin from the post of the CEO of Tesla and made himself the CEO of Tesla.

The full name of Martin Eberhard is Martin Forest Eberhard. He was born in the year 1960 in America. The name of his wife was Carolyn. He started his career with Wyse Technology. After that, he founded the company Network company devices Nuvomedia. He was the first CEO of Tesla.

Though he was the real founder of Tesla, there came a press release in 2007. In that press release, the name of Martin was mentioned as the ‘Co-founder’ of Tesla. His position in the company was lowered from the CEO to the advisory board member. In a magazine, it was also stated that Musk had asked Martin to leave the post of CEO. After that Musk stated that he did so not because of some differences in thoughts but because there is no role suitable for Martin in the Company. After this in  January 2007, The New York Times reported that Tesla Motors got a new face for CEO Elon musk as the co-founder Martin Eberhard, transitioned from the board of directors to the advisory board.

Martin was not happy with this all. He also mentioned this in his deleted Tesla founders blogs. In July 2009, Martin brought a lawsuit against Elon Musk for throwing him out even though it was not acceptable as per the contract. However, later on in August 2009, he dropped that lawsuit. The above case shows that it is true that all that matters are not gold.
